My name is Mark Bennellick. I am a government approved Driving Standards Instructor, that has been teaching driving courses professionally for the past four years.

I am somewhat of a motoring fanatic, whose interest started at a young age. Motorbikes were my initial starting point. I began riding motocross during my teenage years, then upon passing my motorcycle test I started riding Road bikes before quickly moving onto Sport bikes and finally track day racing events.

Although I enjoyed riding motorbikes on both private race tracks and public roads, I was always aware of the increased vulnerability and dangers involved with bike riding, as well as the uncertain and quickly changing weather conditions, that we have here in the UK.

In Early 1992 I took private car driving lessons, and within several months I had passed my "L" test and was legally permitted to drive a car. Within days of passing my driving test I had noticed several large differences between bike and car. Primarily, I was saving a lot of time. Instead of spending up to 15 minutes putting on protective clothing for the bike, I could simply jump into the car and off I'd go. Secondly, I felt increased safety driving a car from other road users, as I became a larger object for them to see. Finally, depending on the size of your car, you can have anything up to 5 other passengers. With friends, a radio and heating, long cold journeys were a thing of the past for me!

After many years of driving, with increased interest and enthusiasm, I was shocked to find out that more than one million people are dying on the world's roads every year, and this number is rising. Over 90% of these so-called road traffic 'accidents' are caused by driver error. One solution to these horrifying statistics is to improve driving skills, knowledge and attitudes through better training.

My aim therefore is to teach to a higher standard than is required to pass the driving test. I teach the entire DSA syllabus and much more besides to make my students feel confident and become safe drivers for the rest of their lives.

Lessons are carefully planned and are always conducted on a one to one basis; they are also accompanied by lesson handouts to help speed lessons along.

In car theory training if needed, as well as hazard perception study material are available for hire.

I am an extremely patient, friendly person who has no end of enthusiasm for my job. In addition to the DSA driving syllabus, I offer "Pass Plus" training and motorway tuition. So, whether you are starting out or just need a little help with confidence building for today's busier roads, please give me a call on 07708 121 545 or contact me via my contact form.

Kind regards,

Mark
